Griff will be closed on September 30 as we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This is a day for reflection, not promotion. We encourage everyone to take the time to learn about the impacts of residential schools and the resilience of Indigenous communities across this country.

We'll be back at the yard the following day.

Spent the day in Victoria at ICBA - Independent Contractors and Businesses Association Vancouver Island Meet the Generals & Owners.

A room full of GCs, owners and trades, all talking about what's coming up on the Island. Our kind of afternoon. Thanks to ICBA for putting it on.

Travis Orlandi, Chad Guidi, Carl Canuel, George Bal, Carter Turner, Shaan Bal and Clay Scott made the trip over for Griff.

Griff sponsored Guru Nanak's Free Kitchen annual Bike-a-thon and Walk-a-thon this past weekend. Riders, walkers, and families came out across the Lower Mainland to support Guru Nanak's Free Kitchen's work feeding people experiencing homelessness.

Griff covered the event medals and supplied water on the route.

Guru Nanak's Free Kitchen started in 2006, serving about 10,000 meals in its first year. Today it's more than 60,000 meals annually, run by a network of over 700 volunteers out of a dedicated kitchen in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

Good turnout, good cause, good reason to show up again next year.

Follow along for more on how Griff supports the communities we build in.

That's a wrap on the Fourth Annual Griff Fall Classic. Good weather, good golf, good people out on the greens. ⛳️

Getting the trades community out together like this is worth every bit of planning. Good conversations, better weather, and a lot of familiar faces from the yard and beyond.

Building better together. Looking forward to next year!

Setting a post used to mean digging the hole, mixing a batch, and waiting around for it to cure before you could move on.

September is prime time for fence and deck posts, and the window to get them set before the rain moves in is closing. Quikrete Post Haste gets you through that window fast. Pour the dry mix straight into the hole, add water, and you're done. No mixing tub, no bracing needed for most jobs.

🔹 Sets in 15 to 30 minutes
🔹 No mixing tub required
🔹 Ideal for fence posts, signs, and small footings
🔹 Approximately 2,500 PSI at 28 days

Grab a few bags next time you're in, or shop online!

Fall prep starts before the rain does, not after.

The Lower Mainland's rain season isn't here yet, but it's coming. The projects that stay on schedule through October and November are the ones where the building envelope got closed up while the weather was still cooperating.

✅ House wrap and building paper
✅ Peel n stick membranes
✅ Flashing and rainscreen
✅ Foundation and drain pipe
✅ Poly and vapour barrier

Come in and we'll help you build the list before the forecast turns on you.
