Time once again for "WAAAAAYYYY OUT THERE" .... where we look at one computer run for way far in the distance… And wonder…

And we're still wondering… Are we going to get one more snow? And is it going to be a big one?

Here's European guidance… For March 17, yes St. Patrick's Day, with the luck of the Irish… May bring us a big snow... as you can see on the graphic below… this model run suggests… A foot of snow??!????????!

Is it guaranteed to materialize? Nine days out… A lot can happen… But the computer guidance has been fairly steady on this possibility for the last couple of days.....

Let's just see…

And that concludes today's edition of "WAAAAYYYY OUT THERE"!

Quite the intense squall currently ongoing from Goderich to London. And has been fairly stationary for the past few hours. Likely leading to heavy snowfall rates.

The lake effect snow is only just beginning! Expecting more intense bands later this morning into the afternoon.

What are you experiencing?

Mother Nature isn’t playing nice this year. Tuesday through Thursday will be a roller coaster of a ride as temperatures drop, rise and drop again. We might even see a little rain in addition to 6” of snow.

This will separate the men from the boys.

❄️ SNOW SQUALL WATCH ISSUED

Timeframe: Beginning Thursday morning and lasting through to Saturday

Environment Canada has issued an expansive snow squall watch for the Lake Huron and Georgian Bay snowbelt region.

Intense snow squall activity is expected to develop early Thursday morning and continue right into the weekend. These squalls could produce impressive snowfall rates of 5 to 10cm per hour.

With strong winds also expected, blowing snow will be an issue which could lead to reduced visibility and difficult travel at times.

The highest totals are expected east of Lake Huron, including areas like Port Elgin, Hanover, Kincardine, Goderich, Stratford, Kitchener and Guelph. Environment Canada notes that locally up to 30 to 50cm of snowfall accumulation is possible by Saturday.

For Georgian Bay, the squalls are expected to be a bit weaker, but they could still bring locally 15 to 30cm across Grey Bruce, Simcoe County and the northern sections of York and Durham regions.

We will have a more detailed forecast on the snow squalls posted soon, so stay tuned.
