We stopped by Mazzei Electric yesterday to present one of our favourite Silly Boat Regatta trophies – the Li'l Tuck Award for youth spirit. Team Mazzei made boat-building a family affair! Thanks again to Mazzei Electric, a longtime participant at our event and one of our 40th Anniversary Sponsors, for being part of a great day on the waterfront!

We’re excited to share that Team Mazzei Electric is participating in the Nanaimo Silly Boat Regatta this summer - a fun, community-driven event where teams build and race creative boats, all in support of a great cause.

The Regatta is the major annual fundraiser for the Nanaimo Child Development Centre, helping provide vital programs, services, and equipment for children and families in our community.

Every donation, big or small, helps make a real difference while supporting a fantastic local event. Last year we won an award for being the top corporate fundraising team, and we’d love to continue that trend.

Your contribution will help us reach our fundraising goal and support children and families right here in Central Vancouver Island.

Come cheer us on! The event takes place on Sunday, July 19, running from 10-2:30PM at Maffeo Sutton Park in Nanaimo.

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of the event and will have a special guest – Fred Penner will be performing!

We are hosting a Christmas Toy Drive! We will be collecting New, Unwrapped toys that will be going to local children in need for the holidays - both on Vancouver Island and in Kelowna. Our goal is to fill an entire Mazzei van with toys.

Each office has a donation box now, ready for your donations! Please feel free to drop off your donations anytime between now and December 1, 2025.

Help us Toss the Boss!!! We want to toss our Nanaimo Service Manager, Brandon Thompson, off a bridge…

All for a good cause of course! raises funds for the - our goal is to raise a minimum of $1000.

All proceeds go towards supporting, educating, and advocating for adults with acquired brain injuries and their families, as well as increasing community awareness.

Our team had so much fun yesterday at the .cdc Silly Boat Regatta! Such a great event supporting a great cause.

We are especially proud to have won the award for Most Corporate Pledges! Thank you to everyone who donated to our team.

Our boat was buoyant and we came in with a time of 3:20 which isn’t too shabby! Great work Team Mazzei Electric!
