WHEN SHOULD YOU CLOSE YOUR POOL? ππ
It can be tempting to close your pool as soon as the summer season starts winding down, but timing matters.
A good rule of thumb is to wait until temperatures consistently fall below 65Β°F (18Β°C). Cooler temperatures make it harder for algae to grow, helping your pool stay cleaner under the cover throughout the off-season.
Close too early while temperatures are still warm, and you could be creating the perfect environment for algae to grow underneath the cover.
π Keep an eye on the forecast, and don't wait until the last minute. Once cooler temperatures are here to stay, it's time to start thinking about your pool closing.
Not sure when the time is right?
Cracknell Pools can help you get your pool properly prepared for the off-season.
