Congratulations to Kye McGonigal from our Moosomin location! 👏

While picking poles, Kye noticed the ground conditions had changed, and the slings weren’t grabbing the way they had previously. Instead of pushing ahead, he stopped, reassessed and came up with a safer plan: using a longer sling and adding a couple of extra half hitches to the rigging setup.

It’s also not Kye’s first Safety Award, which says a lot about the consistency he brings to safety every day!

Way to go, Kye! Thanks for continuing to look out for yourself and your crew and for putting safety first. ⚡️

Today, we pause to remember the children who never returned home, honour residential school Survivors and their families, and recognize the lasting impacts of the residential school system on First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities.

Truth and reconciliation asks all of us to listen, learn and reflect on the history and experiences of Indigenous Peoples in Canada.

At Nixon Electrical Service, we believe that learning the truth is an important part of moving forward with greater understanding, respect and compassion.

Let this be your reminder that you are important, people care about you, and you are not alone in your struggles. Do not be afraid to speak up when it comes to your mental health. Mental health is just as important as your physical health.

Let's come together to make the world a better place.
