The end of another season~

2026 Wetum Road Season Closure

Please be advised that the Wetum Road will officially close on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Decommissioning of the Wetum will be begin April 1, 2026. The official closures date is based on permitting and insurance.

While current conditions are favourable, they can change at any time and safety remains paramount for all involved. We wish to thank Innlink for their hard work this season as they dealt with exceptional weather events over the past few months.

Community Link Ice Road Closure

The Moosonee - Moose Factory Community Link Ice Road is also closing on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 11:59 pm. It will be on a “Use at Your Own Risk” basis on April 1, 2026. The road will no longer be maintained.

Road closure!

Just received a call from Innlink and due to the heavy snowfall accumulation, we would like to close the Wetum road for at least 24 hours to try and clean it up so that everyone will remain safe.

We will post another update later.

Update!

Road Conditions Update – South End (Km 50–70)

The south end section from Km 50 to Km 70 is currently rough with significant snow accumulation.
Crews are mobilizing equipment to repair the area throughout the day.
Drivers should expect slow movement, changing conditions, and equipment on the road.
Please use caution when travelling through this section.
