Progress continues at DENT Cabbagetown as the project moves deeper into the finishing stages. 🏗️🦷

This week, several key milestones were reached:

✔ Ground floor HVAC ductwork is now approximately 90% complete
✔ Second-floor plaster work has been completed
✔ Ground-floor plaster work is approximately 50% complete
✔ Electrical service preparation is finished and the project is now awaiting Toronto Hydro connections

One of the most rewarding parts of a renovation like this is seeing the transformation from exposed framing and mechanical systems to finished spaces that begin to reflect the final vision. The natural light coming through the future treatment and clinical areas is already giving a glimpse of what's to come.

We're excited to continue bringing this new clinic to life for Dr. JB Spillane and the team at DENT Toronto.

Big progress happening at DENT Cabbagetown 🏗️

The project is continuing to move steadily forward, with major mechanical and interior work now coming together.

✔ Ground floor gas piping completed
✔ Basement drainage solution confirmed with the Plumbing Inspector and Engineer
✔ Ground floor drywall is now about 85% complete
✔ Second-floor plaster work has officially started

This is one of the most exciting stages of construction — when the space starts shifting from a job site into a real clinic environment.

Our latest project, DENT Cabbagetown continues to move steadily forward as major mechanical and interior systems take shape. 🏗️🦷

Current progress on site includes:

🌬️ Ground floor HVAC ductwork now approximately 75% complete
🧱 Second floor drywall nearing completion
📐 Ground floor bulkhead framing well underway
⚡ Electrical service work has now started
🔨 Ground floor drywall installation progressing alongside ongoing coordination between trades

One of the biggest challenges at this stage is sequencing—making sure inspections, HVAC integration, drywall, and electrical work all move efficiently without compromising access to critical systems.

We’re continuing to work closely with Dr. JB Spillane and the team at DENT Toronto as the future clinic becomes more defined with each phase completed.

Still ahead:

• Remaining HVAC installation and inspections
• Continued drywall work
• Electrical service completion
• Foundation drainage and sump system coordination pending engineering revisions

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes right now as the project moves deeper into mechanical and interior work.

✔ HVAC ductwork continuing throughout the ground floor
✔ Structural reinforcement completed for the new mechanical shaft
✔ Second floor drywall progressing well
✔ Ground floor bulkhead framing now started

This stage is all about coordination—making sure every system fits together properly before finishes begin.

Progress update at DENT Cabbagetown 🏗️

We’re moving into a stage where a lot of the important work happens behind the walls.

Here’s what’s been happening on site:

✔ HVAC ductwork is in progress
✔ Rooftop parapet siding is now complete

We’re also working closely with Dr. JB Spillane from DENT Toronto to keep the project moving in the right direction as everything comes together.

Next up:

• More ductwork installation
• Ceiling framing and bulkheads
• Drywall partitions
• Basement plumbing and sump system (pending approvals)

With older buildings, there are always a few surprises along the way—but that’s where good planning and coordination make the difference.

Behind the scenes at DENT Cabbagetown 🏗️

A lot is happening right now—even if it doesn’t look like a finished space just yet.

Here’s what’s been going on:

✔ Fire-rated drywall between floors is complete
✔ Plumbing rough-ins are nearly finished
✔ HVAC ductwork has started taking shape

We’re also working through important planning with engineers and specialists to make sure everything below the surface—like waterproofing and sump systems—is done right.

Next steps will focus on:

• Ductwork continuation
• Ceiling framing
• Basement plumbing and waterproofing

DENT Cabbagetown Progress Update 🏗️🦷

The DENT Cabbagetown project continues to move forward as we transition into the next phase of interior construction.

One of the most visible updates on site right now is the spray foam insulation, now nearly complete throughout the space.

This step plays an important role in healthcare construction by helping to:

🌡️ Improve temperature control and energy efficiency
🔇 Reduce noise between rooms for better patient comfort
🏥 Create a more controlled and consistent interior environment

Alongside this, we’ve continued coordination work across the project:

🔧 Exterior lighting rough-ins have been revised to align with the final design
📏 Millwork site measurements are underway to prepare for custom installations
🪜 Interior stair components have been ordered as we move closer to finishing phases

Next steps on site:

• Installation of fire-rated drywall ceilings on the ground floor
• Continued HVAC work to follow

Each phase brings this 100-year-old building closer to becoming a modern, fully functional dental clinic.

✔ Plumbing and electrical rough-ins continuing

✔ Wall supports and backing underway to prepare for fixtures and finishes

This is the stage where everything behind the walls comes together. It may not be the most visible part of the project, but it plays a big role in how the clinic functions once complete.

We’re also reviewing materials and coordinating next steps, including flooring, doors, and exterior elements.
