Happy Retirement Dan Kearny! We recently honoured and celebrated Dan's 20+ years of work with Maxan! Dan has always been known for his calm, professional and gentleman-like personality. He was a good leader often taking new tradespeople under his wing to mentor them. It was a pleasure for many to work alongside Dan. Thank you for everything you have contributed to Maxan, we wish you all the best in your new adventures to come!

Yesterday some of the Maxan team had the pleasure in participating in the Women Build event that was hosted by Home Depot's Orange Women's Network. They partnered with the Canadian Association of Women in Construction, Grand Valley Construction Association, Ontario General Contractors Association and Toronto Construction Association for an informative and engaging event for women in construction. There were valuable insights shared that were relevant to women working in a male dominated industry and how women can continue to be trailblazers within the industry at all different types of scopes. Opportunities like this where women can network with other professionals and expand industry connections is just another way to close the gender gap within the industry and create more opportunity for women in construction!

This project was a 3 floor, 32, 000 sq. ft. job completed for Humber's International Graduate School. We helped our client in creating an ergonomic environment for their students that would increase productivity and collaboration through the use of sound transmission management, sound isolation for privacy and creating unique spaces for solo and collaborative work. Our scope of work on this project consisted of framing, drywall boarding, finishing, PC350, torsion spring metal panels and felt baffles, acoustic grid and tile, Armstrong Acoustibuilt and Zintra Baffles.

Step forward with Threads of Life - Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support next weekend, May 5th, and walk with us in support of families devastated by a workplace tragedy.
