🚘 We are excited to have Saler's Backhoe & Trucking be our Parking Lot Sponsor for Flying Acorn 2026! (⚠️ And an important parking notice.)

Saler's Backhoe & Trucking Ltd is always enormously excited to be involved in helping support community events and the moment Kirk Saler heard about Flying Acorn, he was all in to partner. Saler's has also long been a strong supporter of the Squirrel Hills Trail Park, having built both the access road and parking lot along with the enormous (you have no idea!) dirt + clay base for the Sunrise Credit Union Pavillion that'll serve as Race HQ for on event day.

⚠️ A note on parking for event day. ⚠️

Parking is located at the main trailhead parking lot. DO NOT park immediately alongside the Town of Minnedosa compost area or the branch drop off area. Follow directions of the volunteers on race morning and ONLY park in the areas they point you toward. Please CAR POOL where possible to both lower our overall carbon footprint and because we are expecting a much larger number of runners and spectators than last year. Thank you. 🙏

We are currently looking to hire full and part-time employees in all departments and a yard operator. Must have loader operation experience, hours can be flexible, Monday to Friday. Duties include loader deliveries, gravel/dirt screening, picking up material & general maintenance of our yard. Must be capable of working on their own and have good public relations.

THREE GENERATIONS !!!
FIFTY FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE!!!
As most of you know dad (Tony) started Saler’s Backhoe in 1971. I worked on and off with him as a teenager and in the year 2000 moved back home to take over the business. 2022 my son Tyler joined the business and who knows what the future will bring.
We’d like to thank you all for your support over the last 55 years and hope to serve you for many more years to come. ✌️🤟

We are currently looking for a full-time part-time yard operator. Must have loader operator experience. Perfect job for a retired/semi retired person. Hours can be flexible Monday to Friday. 
Duties include loader deliveries, gravel/dirt screening, customer service and yard care maintenance, picking up materials.
Must be capable of working on their own and have good public relations.
