If You Have A Wood Stove Connected To A Masonry Chimney, This Is Something You Should Look At.
Prior to 2025 this method was promoted by CSA-B365 solid-fuel-burning Installation code.
This method has been removed as an option for several reasons as outlined in this bulletin, the reason of primary importance is that in the field it is almost never installed correctly and is a fire hazard:
