Bees love Echinacea 🪷
Tip for Gardeners: If you want to plant Echinacea to help the bees, stick to the original native purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) or pale purple coneflower (Echinacea pallida).Many modern, highly modified garden hybrids (like the ultra-fluffy, double-petaled varieties) are completely sterile. They do not produce nectar or pollen, leaving the bees hungry!🐝

What an entertaining show in the sky on the evening of Tuesday, August 18th!

I was curious about the unique formation, so I looked it up—it turns out this is a mackerel sky (altocumulus clouds). They are composed of tiny water droplets and ice crystals, creating patterns that look just like sand ripples on a beach or fish scales.

It was mesmerizing to look up and take in the view. Did anyone else catch this overhead? ☁️✨
