These Jack Frost Brunnera (macrophylla) plants were photographed today at a clients rock garden. These shade loving plants have delicate blue blooms in the spring.
Use as a mass planting to create a silvery shimmering ground cover in your shade garden or plant individually as a garden accent.

Just wanted to share a couple of my favorite spring blooming plants I came upon this week. Pasque Flowers are tough little beauties that enjoy the sun and Dwarf tulips are a must have for your rock garden.

Today's star perennial is this beautiful Evergreen Candytuft called 'Snowsation'. This low-growing mound of crisp white flowers blooms beautifully from mid to late spring.

I planted the one in this photo a few years ago, and every spring it turns into an absolute showstopper! It’s a wonderfully low-maintenance choice, provided it gets at least 6 hours of sun and is planted in well-draining soil.

I highly recommend this beauty if you're looking for a sunny garden ground cover. It looks stunning planted in groups or lined up along the border of a walkway or patio. 🌸✨

White trilliums have turned peak. Fading Beauty: It means the blossom is reaching the end of its life cycle for the season. Shortly after turning a deep pink, the petals will drop, and the plant will focus all its energy on developing its seed pod.

Many people mistake the pink phase of the white Trillium for a completely different species, but it is actually the exact same flower (Trillium grandiflorum) just celebrating a beautiful phase of growing older!

I am so immersed in my gorgeous Crab Apple tree I planted about 30 years ago!

Not only am I in love with this beautiful tree, but so are our resident songbirds. The Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles, Grosbeaks & Northern Cardinals flutter in and out of the branches.

Baltimore Orioles have a sweet tooth and sip nectar from the apple blossoms. Grosbeaks are fond of the seed pods at the base of the blossom. Cardinals will actually eat the petals for moisture and nutrients. The Blue Jays as well as Chickadees and Warblers are often looking for tiny insects, caterpillars and aphids drawn to the sweet scent. 🌸

One of our Robin hatchlings took a brave leap and fluttered out of the nest right as we were passing by! 🪶

Mom and Dad were immediately on duty, calling out loud and clear to protect their little one. It has been such an absolute joy watching this family grow from tiny blue eggs to adventurous fledglings.

Safe travels, little birdie—we hope you're doing well out there! 🌿❤️
