Two materials, two very different looks.

Interlock gives you repetition and a defined pattern. Natural stone gives you irregular shapes where no two pieces match. Neither is the right answer on its own, it depends on the space, the house, and what you want it to feel like.

Not sure which one suits yours? Let's talk it through.

A gazebo is four posts and a roof. That's not what these are.

One has a fireplace and a bar built into it. One has a swim spa enclosed inside. One is a cedar studio with glass doors across the front. One is a wellness cabana. Four different homes, four rooms that happen to sit outside.

Let's design yours.

A swim spa is not something you drop into a space and hope it works.

The pad, the placement, how it sits against the hardscape around it, all of it gets decided before anything goes in the ground. That is the difference between something that looks built for the space and something that looks added to it.

The space you want next summer gets decided long before next summer.

Starting the conversation in the fall means there's time to get the design right, sort out the permits, and have it built without racing the calendar. By the time everyone else is calling around in April, yours is done.

Kaery came to us through his swim spa company for a concrete pad. He had other contractors in mind at the time.

After the first phase he handed us the full hardscape of the yard, and by the end we were coordinating with the other trades, helping with the design, and keeping everything clear with the city.

Five stars, and his words: at the end of the day it's about quality and trust.

Let's design yours.

Connor on site in Mississauga, on an interlock patio going in this week.

The part worth watching is the base. Three-quarter clear aggregate underneath for drainage and structural support, then an HPB layer on top to level the surface the stone sits on. Water moves through and away instead of sitting under the patio, which is the difference between a patio that holds and one that shifts.

Excavation and grading are the least photogenic part of any project, and the part that decides whether the rest of it lasts.

Get the levels wrong and water sits where it shouldn't. Get the base wrong and the stone above it moves. None of that shows up in the finished photos, which is exactly why it matters.

Anyone can stand four posts up.

What separates one structure from another is overhead: how the beams meet, whether the boards run true, how a skylight gets cut in without breaking the line of the ceiling. It's the part people stand under without ever looking at, and it's the part that takes the longest to get right.

Let's design yours.

Consider this the nudge.

Whatever you've been picturing out there, interlock, natural stone, a deck, a full outdoor space, we build it start to finish.

Two angles on the same project.

The deck sits level with the patio rather than perched above it, and the swim spa is set into the deck instead of standing beside it. Those choices get made before anything is built, and they're the difference between a space that feels designed and one that feels assembled.

Planning a deck? Let's design yours.
