🏆 LCS Hard Hat Award

The Hard Hat has been passed!

Last month’s recipient, Johnathan Stremi, passed the LCS Hard Hat Award on to Dawson Maloney.

Dawson was recognized for his commitment to his projects and his teammates. Even when things get busy, he continues to bring a positive attitude and makes time to step in and help his coworkers whenever he can. That’s exactly what the Hard Hat Award is all about — one teammate recognizing another for the effort, attitude and teamwork they bring to LCS.

Another project is getting underway! 👷

LCS is kicking off a new project in Mississauga, Ontario, that includes the construction of a new structure. With much of the work taking place outdoors, securing the site is an important first step. Proper fencing, clear signage, designated access points, and visible safety requirements help establish expectations before work even begins.

We’re looking forward to seeing this one take shape!

Continuous improvement rarely happens in leaps and bounds.

It happens by moving the needle a little bit every day.

A better process. A shorter meeting. A cleaner handoff. A safer worksite. A mistake that doesn’t happen twice.

Individually, they don’t feel like much. But stack enough small improvements together and they become a tidal wave of change.

That’s why we always ask ourselves and our partners “How can we make this better?” Keep moving the needle.

There’s something satisfying about seeing a structure start to take shape. At this food manufacturing facility, the steel framing is complete and IMP panel installation is underway as this addition continues to come together. Each stage brings the project one step closer to the finished space — and it’s always rewarding to see the planning and coordination turn into visible progress in the field. More to come as we keep moving forward.

We asked Scott Gaylor with Jupiter Flooring what he thought about the Last Planner System, and the Pull Planning sessions he has been experiencing for the first time on an LCS project.

Our new Louisiana Grill is officially assembled and ready for action!

LCS was lucky enough to win the grill at a recent Hockey Fights Cancer tournament, and Mike and Dawson took on the real challenge: putting the thing together. 😅

Thanks, guys!

Now for the important part: putting it to good use. We have a feeling this will be a popular addition to future LCS BBQs. 🍔🌭

👷 The LCS Hard Hat Award

In sports, the best teammates aren’t always the ones filling the scoresheet.

They’re the ones blocking shots, winning battles in the corner, and doing the little things that help the team succeed, even when no one is watching.

That’s the idea behind our LCS Hard Hat Award.

Each month, the current recipient passes the hard hat to a teammate they believe deserves recognition. It’s not about a title or stats. It’s teammates recognizing teammates for hard work, being helpful, stepping up, and doing the little things right.

This month, the hard hat was passed to Johnathan Stremi.
