From Busy Room to Custom Built-In Solution

This room needed more than just furniture — it needed a better system.

I came in, talked with the client, took photos and measurements, and created a SketchUp 3D concept before starting the build.

The final result included a built-in bed platform, storage drawers, desk area, side storage, floating shelves, and a cleaner layout that made the room much more functional.

With 20 years of hands-on construction experience, I design with real measurements, real materials, and real build logic — not just pretty pictures.

Sometimes inspiration doesn’t come when you are sitting at the desk, working on a drawing or trying to force the next idea.
Sometimes it comes from a very simple moment.
A walk.

An old piece of metal by the window.
A shape you didn’t expect to notice.
At first, you may not even understand why it caught your attention.
But then, after some time, it starts to connect.
You begin to see a direction.
You begin to feel what the next step should look like.
For people who create, these moments matter.
Before every design, before every project, before every finished piece — there is usually one small spark.
And sometimes that spark comes from the most ordinary, real-life moment.
That is the beauty of creating custom work: inspiration can come from anywhere.

Custom built-in bedroom wall unit designed to add more storage while keeping the room clean and organized.

This project includes tall cabinet storage, lower cabinets, drawers, and an open center section for a TV or everyday use.

Everything was built to fit the wall properly and create a full built-in look instead of using separate furniture pieces.

Simple white shaker-style cabinetry keeps the space bright, while the layout adds a lot more practical storage and gives the room a more finished feel.
