Before and after Resanded.
It’s a Resawn engineered floor.
Barn beams sawn and milled into flooring.
Originally coated with polyurethane oil based finish. That over time with the natural aging of the wood tends to go orange over time. It can become a very predominant colour over powering everything else. I think of it like a painting, where is you eye drawn to.
When the floor is neutral and calm. It makes other accents stand out or not be over shadowed by the floor.
That clash between an old orange floor and your furniture can look out of place.
When the floor is neutral you have more design or accent options without conflict.
