What do you do with extra tomatoes?

Last week I tried out a new recipe: Tomato Marmalade.

It’s like a slightly-less-spicy tomato butter crossed with marmalade.

At first bite you might wonder “WTF are you feeding me, Emily?”

But you’re going to have another one.
And probably another.

We have it on cream cheese and crackers but I can see this being a feature on toast or even as part of a meat glaze.

It’s getting hot in heeeere-
And just in time for cold weather!

This week I’ll have a small handful of hot sauces at the market, both small batch and fermented!

The Classic Red hot sauce could replace your store-bought stuff pretty easily! A nice medium-ish heat that doesn’t linger too long.

And the Garden Heat hot sauce has lots of bright fresh notes, and is just a touch hotter than the Classic Red.

The Campbellford Farmers Market is running every Saturday 9-1 until the end of October, and you can find me there with delicious and healthy microgreens-
BUT!
What will happen when the market ends?

This week I’m bringing some DIY microgreen kits so you can try your hand at growing your own greens on a micro-scale during the cold winter months.

Kits will include a packet of seeds (peas), cococoir, and instructions. All you need to add is water and light.

Come check them out!
