✨ Bathroom Transformation Complete ✨

This project was much more than a simple bathroom refresh.

To create a cleaner and more spacious feel, we removed the existing shower bulkhead and reworked the ceiling details. One of the biggest challenges was modifying the crown moulding and seamlessly tying it back into the room so it looked like it had always been there.

We kept the existing vanity and medicine cabinet, but everything else was transformed:

✔ Removed shower bulkhead for a more open look
✔ Modified ceiling and crown moulding to create a seamless finish
✔ New floor tile
✔ New tub surround tile
✔ New shower system and plumbing fixtures
✔ New toilet
✔ New lighting and accessories
✔ Fresh paint throughout

The result is a brighter, more modern bathroom that feels larger while preserving quality cabinetry that still had plenty of life left.

Same footprint. Completely transformed.

From vision to reality ✨
This is what can happen when a client’s dream meets the right design + build team.

Here’s how we transformed this master ensuite renovation:

1️⃣ Converted the original two-piece ensuite by expanding into the adjacent closet space to create a full shower layout.

2️⃣ Built a brand-new custom shower featuring a built-in bench and recessed niche for both comfort and functionality.

3️⃣ Removed both original doors and redesigned the layout with a centered entrance for improved flow and symmetry.

4️⃣ Repositioned the toilet and relocated the vanity between the shower and toilet to maximize space efficiency.

5️⃣ Installed all new tile throughout the shower and bathroom floor for a clean, modern finish.

6️⃣ Relocated lighting fixtures and added pot lights to complement the new layout and brighten the space.

7️⃣ Designed and installed two custom built-in closets beside the new bathroom entrance to create a seamless, integrated look.

CKG Design & Build is honoured to have completed another project supporting 360°kids, an incredible organization dedicated to helping young people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

360°kids provides safe housing, employment programs, education support, and life-skills training to help youth rebuild their lives and move toward independence. Their work gives vulnerable young people the opportunity to build a brighter and more stable future.

Legal 2-Bedroom Basement Unit Transformation ✅

Our client wanted a fully legal 2-bedroom basement rental unit, and this is what we delivered:

✨ What we did:
✅ Removed the main floor laundry / powder room to create space for a new side entrance staircase
✅ Relocated the exterior door + powder room to fit the new layout
✅ Fully framed the basement for:
• Shared laundry (upstairs + basement)
• Kitchen + living room
• 2 bedrooms + full bathroom
✅ Installed 1 new egress window (emergency exit) + enlarged 3 existing windows
✅ Upgraded with fire-rated construction to meet building code
✅ Completed all new plumbing + electrical throughout the basement
✅ Finished with a brand new kitchen + accessible bathroom
