One of the most important challenges during demolition and structural expansion is protecting the existing structure from weather exposure. In Torino, every phase is carefully planned to protect the existing home while preparing for a seamless transformation.

For this project, we completely enclosed and wrapped the entire house before proceeding with demolition. This temporary full-site protection system helps shield the home from rain and moisture while construction is underway — especially during unpredictable weather conditions like heavy rainfall.
It’s a process many homeowners never get to see, but it reflects the level of care and professionalism behind every Torino project.

Closed-cell spray foam was applied in THREE🙀 passes across the full envelope—walls and roofline.

High R-value per inch builds performance without adding bulk.

By moving insulation from the attic floor to the roofline, we eliminate the need for batts or blown-in above the ceiling. The attic is no longer a cold void, and ceiling height is no longer constrained by a thick insulation layer.

Beyond space, the gains are in performance:

💦Low v***r permeability controls moisture and limits condensation risk.

☀️Natural light shaped by architecture.

A layered skylight light well expands downward through a series of stepped recesses. Each level diffuses incoming daylight further into the space, softening the transition between roof opening and interior.

Precise trim lines define the edges of light and shadow, giving the ceiling depth and architectural clarity.

The gradual shift in proportion from top to bottom visually amplifies the height of the space, allowing a compact opening above to shape a much larger spatial experience.
