The project involved commercial construction, interior renovation, wood grille ceiling installation, wood block feature wall construction, booth installation, open kitchen coordination, plumbing and electrical coordination, and detailed finishing.

A clean, durable, and functional restaurant space built for daily operations.

2026 GTA RenoMark Awards: Best Commercial Renovation

We are proud to share that JY Construction has been named the winner of Best Commercial Renovation at the 2026 GTA RenoMark Awards for our Greekery Cafe project.

Announced by BILD, the 2026 RenoMark Awards received 85 submissions across 20 categories, with entries evaluated by 18 industry professionals from across Canada. The official RenoMark Awards GTA page also lists JY Construction as the Winner in the Best Commercial Renovation category.

Located in the Blue Mountain tourism district, Greekery Cafe transformed a former garage into a 1,630 sq.ft. café space. The project brings together warm grey tones, Wabi-Sabi minimalism, arched architectural details, natural light, and a central tree feature to create a calm and welcoming environment.

Commercial renovation is about more than the final look. It requires careful coordination across layout planning, building conditions, mechanical and electrical requirements, construction ex*****on, brand expression, customer flow, and long-term business operations.

Mall construction projects require strict coordination with mall management, safety compliance, and precise on site ex*****on. The project was delivered according to the construction drawings while meeting the operational standards required for retail spaces.
