CECA $2500 General Studies Scholarships Winner - Madison Cormie

Madison is the daughter of J. Lenny Cormie (Delta Elevator) in Waterloo, ON

I am honoured to have been chosen as a recipient of one of the CECA scholarships this year. This fall, I will be going into my first year of studies at Redeemer University. I will be double-majoring in English and History. Both of these subjects have always been passions of mine, and I am thrilled that I have the opportunity to study them further. While I do not know exactly what career I want to pursue, I know I want it to be in these areas, and I am incredibly grateful to CECA for aiding me in this journey.

CECA $2500 General Studies Scholarships- Ravjot Mann

Ravjot is the daughter of Manjit Mann (Garaventa lift) in Surrey, BC

I am passionate about art and its impact on the world. I believe art can be found in every aspect of life, which is why I indulge in many interests and hobbies such as cooking, baking, sports, music, poetry, theatre, reading books and connecting with new people. I use all these interests to create my art as a reflection of the world around me. This fall I will be continuing my second year of theatre studies at Douglas College and will be preparing for my first post secondary play. I have chosen to study theatre, as it has been a huge part of my life and something I enjoy creating and want to continue to do as I continue my acting journey. I am immensely grateful for this scholarship as it opens more opportunities for me.

The 1st Annual Walter Guderian Memorial Scholarship- Shelby Tkachuk

Shelby is an employee at Wurtec in Pickering ON

I am currently attending college in a fast track Office Administration - Executive program for some additional education! While being in a full time program I am working two jobs, one in the veterinary field and second in the elevator field. I will be graduating in December and I am greatly looking forward to expanding my career in the office administration field! Besides work and school, I own a Rottweiler mix named Marlee and she is the best thing that gets me through these busy days! I am so appreciative and thank everyone at CECA for awarding me with this scholarship.

CECA $2500 Elevator Studies Scholarship- Nathaniel Nikolic

Nathaniel is the son of Michael Nikolic (TKE) in Hamilton ON

I am currently attending my first year of post secondary at McMaster for engineering. I am fortunate to have an amazing job working for my city as a lifeguard, and I couldn’t not ask for a better community to be apart of. Being active is a big part of who I am, I love to play soccer, volleyball and exercise at the gym. I am grateful to have received the CECA scholarship and I know I will put it to good use!
