Today was one of those days that reminds me why I love what we do.
I got to put a new roof on the home of Margaret (Peggy) Suddaby — better known to me as Mrs. Suddaby, my Grade One teacher back in 1981 at Whonnock Elementary.
Forty-five years ago she welcomed a little kindergarten aged kid into her classroom. Today, as one of the owners of the family company our parents started in 1978, I got to stand on her roof and take care of her the way she once took care of me.
Life has a beautiful way of bringing things full circle. From Whonnock Elementary to Whonnock Roofing… it all feels connected in the best possible way. I had the chance to sit and chat with Peggy today, catch up on old times, and even snap a photo of us smiling together in front of one of our company vans. My heart is full.
Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. ❤️
