Vanguard is proud to announce a new project at 3839 Canada Way in Burnaby, where our team will be delivering the full mechanical scope for this six-storey mixed-use development.

The project will include 171 residential units along with 20 street-level commercial retail spaces. Vanguard’s scope includes plumbing, sheet metal, VRF, gas, and controls systems as construction gets underway.

We’re glad to be partnering with Urban One Builders on this exciting new development and look forward to seeing the project take shape.

Progress continues at Portwood in Woodland Park, one of Port Moody’s largest master-planned communities in recent years. With approximately 330 homes, green spaces, and mixed-use areas planned, the development is steadily taking shape as construction advances across the site.

Vanguard is providing full mechanical services throughout the project, with crews working across buildings and phases to support ongoing progress. Coordination remains a key focus on a development of this scale, with mechanical systems being installed alongside other trades as each area moves forward.

Project Complete!

Mechanical work has wrapped up at Zappone Manor in Surrey, where our team has delivered a full mechanical scope for this 89-unit, five-storey senior housing development in Cloverdale.

Our crews have installed advancing plumbing, HVAC, gas, and related systems for this site, which is now ready for occupancy.

With 15 years in the plumbing trade, Ian brings strong experience to the field and plays a key role in leading crews on site. Over the past year and a half with Vanguard, he’s found the work especially rewarding, thanks to the people he works alongside every day.

From the office team to the crews in the field, Ian values the communication and support across every project. He takes pride in what his team accomplishes together and the sense of ownership that comes with seeing a job through.

One milestone that stands out is completing his first project with Vanguard, a moment that marked the start of many more to come.

The 1766 Frances Street project in Vancouver was recently featured by CBC/Radio-Canada, highlighting this nine-storey, Indigenous-focused housing development built to Passive House standards.

Vanguard was proud to provide full mechanical services for this project, with systems designed and installed to support the performance requirements of a Passive House building. The project will deliver 81 affordable homes built for long-term efficiency and reliability.

Work is getting underway at Lakeview United in Vancouver, where our team is preparing to deliver the full mechanical scope for this six-storey, 104-unit residential development at 2776 Semlin Drive. Designed to meet Passive House standards, the project will bring new homes and community space to the neighbourhood.
