As 2023 came to a close, it marked the complete retirement of our founder Ron Schafer. After 40 years in business and 50 years as an electrician, he decided to hang it up for good.
In his characteristically quiet generosity, he has passed his life's work on to me for safe keeping.

I owe so much to this man, and would never be able to repay him properly. He saw something in me from a young age, and just how I will never know. It does not feel like his attention was deserved. In his own way, sharing invaluable lessons on life and business.

So, from the 17 year old kid who could barely figure out to sweep the shop floor....
Thank you Ron, I promise to take good care of the operation, the people in it, and those it serves.

After the firehall was completed, the firefighters felt that the beautiful facade deserved more attention.

Public works to the rescue!
These boys take a lot of teasing about the finer points of leaning on a shovel. But when you need them, boy do they step up to the plate.

Today I learned that there is a 6" water main that runs underneath the garages on the east side of highway 21. I also learned that I'm deadly accurate with a ground rod.

We located the gas, telephone, residential water line, and sewer before pounding. Never would I have believed there was a water main there.

Turns out it was also found by a directional drill in the same spot not long ago.
