AMPED TREE REMOVAL 🌲⚡

Last week, our team was on site in Oakland, Nova Scotia, helping keep properties protected and families safe.

This spruce had large vertical cracks running up the centre… a clear sign of serious internal stress and structural weakness. Even more concerning, the tree was leaning toward a child’s bedroom.

We also found an old clothesline wrapped into the tree. Foreign objects can lead to decay, damage, and long-term structural issues.

When in doubt, have it checked out.

⭐️ Another great Google review from a recent project. ⭐️

These two hazardous trees were only a few inches from the garage while overhanging the building. We set our Easy Lift spider lift up in the front yard and reached up and over the building to safely take them down piece by piece.

Having the right equipment makes all the difference on jobs like this, allowing us to work safely while keeping impact to the property to a minimum.

Finished this project up in two stages this week.

Our crew safely removed the trees on Tuesday, then returned Thursday to grind the stumps below grade to help make room for a new fence installation and create a cleaner, more usable yard space for the homeowners.

A lot of people underestimate how much of a difference stump grinding makes once the trees are gone. It really opens the property up and makes future landscaping and maintenance much easier.

When neighbours come together to take a proactive approach—it makes all the difference.

We removed 13 large bushy pine trees along a shared property line in a tight residential area near homes and live power services.

The goal was simple: reduce risk and protect both properties before problems start.

Completed safely and efficiently using:
• Forestry bucket truck
• 15” Bandit chipper
• High-volume chip & debris truck
• Mini excavator for controlled material handling

All debris was processed on-site and the area was left clean and spotless.

Back home and into the season.

We haven’t posted much this winter—but it’s been a busy one.

Over the past few months we’ve been involved in storm restoration work, including time spent down in Jamaica helping with cleanup and recovery efforts. Grateful for the experience and the opportunity to help where it’s needed.

We’re officially into the season here on the South Shore.

We’re already working in the area—if you’re thinking about getting trees taken care of this year, now’s a good time to get on the list.

This winter has been the experience of a lifetime. 🇯🇲⚡️

We’re proud to work alongside the crew at Grey Stone, helping restore power and rebuild critical infrastructure after the hurricane. Seeing firsthand the impact this work has on communities reminds you why it matters.

As this chapter comes to an end, we’re looking forward to getting back home to our family and returning to what we do best—serving our clients across the South Shore and beyond. With spring around the corner, we’ll be back in the trees as weather permits. 🌳

🌴🇯🇲 Out of Province, On the Lines ⚡

Amped Property Services will be temporarily away from Nova Scotia while we are in Jamaica assisting with power restoration efforts following the recent hurricane.

This work is focused on helping communities safely restore electricity after major hurricane Melissa, and we’re proud to lend our experience where it’s needed most.

📅 We’ll be returning to Nova Scotia in mid-February, at which point we’ll resume site visits, quotes, and scheduled work.
