A perfect rainy day to sit down, light a candle, and settle into tackling some of our new designs.

After an on-site consultation, we begin to sketch. Sketching the way a space moves, how sound travels, identifying the plants in the space, how trees, plants, and shrubs respond as someone passes through. Does the plant emit a scent? The way shade drifts across the space as the sun moves. The slow unfolding of a plant’s anatomy over the course of a season.

The movement of decomposition. Of water. Of soil. Of the more than human.

So much to draw from.

And drawing, real drawing. Pencil on paper.

A kind of romance.

A Polish saying that translates to:
“As you make your bed, so you will sleep.”

The meaning is simple. Your actions shape your outcomes.

And this time of year, that feels especially true.
In the garden, it begins with the soil, the care, the amendments, the attention, shaping what will grow.

And yes… we pickle Polish pickles 🥒

🌼 Goldenrod Girls Native Seeds now available on our our online shop and 🌼

Our first collection of native seeds is now live:

Each seed has been locally foraged, gathered thoughtfully and in small quantities. We follow responsible seed-collection practices rooted in restoration and conservation collecting only from healthy, abundant populations, taking only a small portion, and leaving plenty behind for wildlife and natural regeneration.

Each package includes a QR code with a detailed guide on how to germinate and plant your seeds.

We’re also so excited to have our first batch alongside our new neighbours, Glasshouse Garden Supply go give them a visit! So many great treasures…

We’ve officially launched Goldenrod & Co.
We’re really happy to share it with you!

This platform is a collection of integrated experiences formed through fieldwork, collaboration, and time spent paying attention. It brings together restoration, design, and education as things that are not separate, but continuously informing one another.

Goldenrod & Co. has been many years in the making. Not through a straight line, but through turns, pauses, and returnings.

We built this practice to hold a different kind of workspace. One that feels safe, inclusive, and grounded. A place to work alongside community, not apart from it.

Our work is shaped by listening, collaboration, and shared knowledge. Not hierarchy. Not ownership.

We approach restoration as an ongoing relationship between people, land, and more than human life.

The season is shifting. Things are waking.
