Wild flowers are drought resistant, very low maintenance, though initially some water is needed to establish the plants.They will flower from spring until fall.They are a true delight and wonderfully fragrant which may be why for the most part, the deer don't seem to be interested in them.We only use professional mixes as they have no fillers plus have a much higher yield of perennials.

This project was started July 2018. This is on our own property. In this area a fence is a must, there are just too many hungry critters here who are all too willing to enjoy the fruits of our labour. We have always had a garden but this will be the first with raised beds. After installing irrigation on these types of gardens and seeing the many benefits like less weeding, good soil drainage, great barrier from pest such as slugs, snails, moles and voles we decided the time, effort and expense would pay off in the end. Another great benefit to the raised bed is that they are at such a great working height; goodbye to back breaking labour. Really looking forward to planting next spring! Check back for updates.
