We attended a very unfortunate call yesterday or maybe you could say it was fortunate for them - the local forest fire swept right across the front of their house and did not burn down the entire house, but the front wall of the house was affected and power was lost to the outlets in that area

Upon assessment beneath the home we discovered that the fire had spread about halfway of the home length through the crawl space and some additional cabling had been damaged but was not yet tripping the breaker

It was a big repair. it wasn't fun. I went home covered from head to toe in soot. But both I and the occupants of the home can sleep comfortably tonight knowing that their home electrical is back to new condition.

Fire safety is a serious matter, and we need to come together as a community in times like these

Be safe out there everyone

Good morning Vernon!

I hope you had a chance to redt this weekend :-)

Today I'm posting another "out with the old, in with the new."

Did you know that smoke alarms have a life of ten years? They contain an element called Americium, that aids in the detection of combustibles in the air, and its considered inert after 10 years.

I like to replace battery operated smoke alarms with those that are hardwired with battery backup, so you know theres always power to it

If you dont see a "replace by:" date on the side of the device, thats a good sign its already more than ten years old, although theres usually a manufactured date on the back of the unit if you spin it off the roof

Give us a call today if you want us to take a look for you, free of charge!

And have a great week everyone!

Out with the old and with the new!

did you know that simply replacing your old light fixtures can refresh an entire space?

Most modern integral LED fixtures put out 50 if not 100% more light than what you're accustomed to. Sometimes just getting yourself more access to light makes the space look better but 100% of the time it makes a space easier to work in and more enjoyable to visit again

We have many cost-effective solutions for updating the experience you have in your space

Good morning Vernon!

I hope you had a great and recharging long weekend

Todays post isn't fancy, its just an outdoor plug, but this honeowner will now be able to plug in their rotisserie or phone charger without running a cord

This little addition not only increases their safety, but also increases their quality of life just a bit, and isnt that what we all want?

Have a great week!
