⚠️ This is why aluminum wiring needs the right devices.

This was a NON-rated device installed on an aluminum circuit.

When the wrong device is used, connections can loosen/overheat over time — and that’s when you start seeing burn marks, melting, or a device pulling out of the wall.

If your home has aluminum wiring (common in some older homes), make sure:
- devices are rated for AL/CU, or
- proper approved connectors are used
