One of Wortley Village's original heritage buildings in London Ontario's Old South neighbourhood. We were asked to install a new office bar sink — and in a building this old, every plumbing decision matters.
We installed all new under-counter supply lines, new shutoff valves, and an auto air vent. The auto air vent was the key call here. Proper drain venting in a heritage building often means you can't open walls without disturbing original materials. An auto air vent gives you proper venting without touching the structure.
Clean. Functional. Respectful of a building that's been standing for over 140 years.

This is what goes into a home addition before anyone sees a finished floor. 🔧

We're currently working on a major addition in London Ontario's Huron Park neighbourhood. Garage. Three piece washroom. Pool equipment room. Three season room. And underneath all of it — one of the most satisfying rough-in stages we've done in a while.

Here's what you're looking at in this video:
First the underground work. Plumbing, gas, and electrical all roughed in and inspected before any concrete gets poured. This is the foundation everything else depends on — and it has to be right.
Then the white rigid foam insulation goes down over the entire slab area. Most people don't realize how important this step is. Without it the concrete absorbs the heat from the in-floor system and sends it downward into the ground. The foam forces every bit of that heat upward — into the room where the family will actually feel it.
Then the hydronic pipe. That translucent pipe laid in continuous loops on top of the insulation carries hot water through the entire slab. The concrete absorbs it and radiates quiet, even heat across every square foot of floor. No forced air. No cold spots. Just warmth from the ground up.
All of it — the in-floor heat and the domestic hot water — will be served by a single high efficiency combi boiler when this project is complete.

We're still in the rough in stage. But this family is going to love what's coming.

What started as a home addition rough-in turned into something bigger. 🔧
While we were already in the basement of this northeast London home the homeowner asked us to repipe the existing washroom and laundry room at the same time — and connect the whole addition underground.
Smart call. Once the concrete goes down you don't want to go back.
We replaced old transit pipe with new ABS drain lines, reran everything properly, and tied the addition into the existing system below the slab. You can see the commercial style carrier system in the photo — that's the rough-in for a wall-hung commercial grade toilet. High-end finish that requires very precise plumbing to work correctly.
All underground. All connected. All inspected before a single shovel of concrete.
This is the work nobody sees — but it's the work that makes everything above it perform the way it should.

This is what happens when an irrigation system doesn't get blown out before winter. 🥶
The water sits in the copper line. It freezes. It expands. And eventually the pipe splits — usually discovered in spring when you go to start up your irrigation system and find water going somewhere it shouldn't.
The fix was straightforward. We cut out the damaged section, replaced it with new copper, and used press fittings for a clean, reliable connection with no torch required.

This is what happens when a homeowner has vision and a plumber who won't cut corners. 🔧

A homeowner in London's Hamilton Road neighbourhood came to us with a bathroom full of years of DIY plumbing errors buried behind the walls. We stripped it all out — drains, water lines, everything — and started fresh with proper materials and proper rough-in.
