Having some fun at work today, upgraded to some LED high bay fixtures. Lights draw less than a 1/4 of original, cost of fixture is half what they used to be and you get double light in the area.

Important Safety Reminder

Always ensure to use the proper receptacles and switches and have the work completed by a qualified contractor if your home has aluminum wiring.

This plug that is not rated for aluminum wiring was installed and over the years oxidized and caused the plug to start arcing. The arcing is not enough current to trip the breaker or blow the fuse, so in this scenario it would just keep arcing.

Luckily the owners were home and were able to turn the power off before causing a possible fire.
