Fresh pressed c***r... at long last!! 😍

We have been dreaming of this moment for THREE years!! Yes, ever since we put an offer in on this property, we've been gearing up for this.... FRESH, PRESSED, C***R!! 😋 But three years ago we had no clue how or where to start! Well, we started with buying the property, moving here, learning and slowly acquiring all the pieces of the process.

We were very fortunate to have very supportive neighbours/friends/customers who sold us their incredible family Italian Fruit Press. However, it sat outside for two years waiting for a fruit grinder to accompany it. A good fruit grinder is a very expensive piece of equipment and they are hard to come by. We finally found a used one on Marketplace and quickly nabbed it as this "made in Germany" machine was out of reach for us, brand new.

With the two most important pieces of the process acquired and the apples becoming ready for pressing, Frank fixed up the press with new stainless steel bolts and cleaned it up real well. I worked on a liner for the press and food grade pails for the rest of the process and we finally pulled it all together with three glorious types of apples that tasted soooooo good when mashed, pressed and mixed.... it was like drinking liquid sunshine!! 😍

Maybe it tastes even better because we were finally able to pull this off together after all pieces were finally put into place.

Our Produce Stand is OPEN all weekend starting TODAY, Thursday Sept 3 until Monday Sept 7th. 😁

Remember, we NEVER Spray our fruits or veggies with ANY chemical fertilizers, Pesticides or Herbicides. Instead we grow everything the PERMACULTURE WAY!!😇

The last two days have been busy getting ready for this beautiful LONG weekend, creating fresh batches of deliciousness for you... here's what we have:

Eggs: We have recently added to our flock 12 new 'ready to lay' hens but they are still working at laying big enough eggs so please continue to check in with us.

All our products are either homemade or homegrown and often a combination of both, using only Organic or other quality ingredients and we never use chemical sprays or synthetic fertilizers to grow our produce.

Garden Veggie Salsa with Niagara Peaches!! 😍

Look at those beautiful colours and amazing freshness!! These veggies went from being picked from our NO SPRAY garden to the pot within 24 hours!! 🍅🧄🫑🧅 The Niagara peaches and a bit of Jennen honey for a touch of sweetness to go with the medium spice kick of some of the spicy peppers, makes for a tasty combination.

Limited amount will be at the Produce Stand Friday morning by 10:30. Will be making more as the garden continues to give us a bountiful harvest!

Oh and even the chickens got to have some salsa!! Well, salsa scraps anyhow!!
