🏡 LET'S TALK DESIGN! WE WANT YOUR OPINION!

Same beautiful waterfront view. Same stunning vaulted ceiling. Two different window designs.

When building a custom home, sometimes it's the smallest design changes that make the biggest visual impact.

We're exploring two options for this incredible feature wall, and we thought we'd let you weigh in!

🔹 OPTION 1: The original design, with a more traditional window configuration.

🔹 OPTION 2: A larger lower opening, creating an even more expansive view of the outdoors.

If this were YOUR dream home, which would you choose?

👇 Team 1 or Team 2? Tell us in the comments!

Because when it comes to custom homes, the details matter.

💧 Water can be a home’s silent destroyer.

Some of the most common calls we receive at CRC General Contracting are from homeowners dealing with water damage. By the time the signs become visible, the damage can extend well beyond the surface.

Deteriorated seals, clogged gutters and poor drainage can allow water to find its way into places it shouldn’t be—sometimes quietly, over months or even years.

We see the repair side of these problems: opening up walls, replacing rotten framing and rebuilding damaged areas. That’s why we’re sharing this fall checklist. A little attention now can help prevent a much bigger repair later.

🍂 Swipe through for a few simple things to check before winter, and save this post for your fall maintenance list.

If you’ve noticed signs of water damage or an area that concerns you, reach out to CRC to discuss the repairs.

Sometimes the best renovation is a fresh start. 🏡
Demo is underway at our next tobermory project!
Like many older homes on the Bruce Peninsula, this one had evolved over the years through a series of renovations and additions. Behind the walls were layers of different construction — including 2×4 exterior walls, insufficient insulation, and building methods that simply don’t meet today’s standards.
Rather than continuing to add onto what was already there, the decision was made to take it back to the ground and build it properly from the beginning.
And swipe to see what’s coming next. 👀
A completely new home designed for this incredible waterfront property — built to today’s standards, built for efficiency, and built for the way our clients want to live here for years to come.
We’ll be sharing this one from demolition right through to the finished home. Stay tuned — this is going to be a good one.

Building and renovation projects come with a lot of decisions.
Our client for this particular project is pretty busy and made it clear they didn't want another full time job making construction decisions 🙂.
And we completely understand. Part of our job at CRC General Contracting is taking the hundreds of choices that come with a project like this and making them easier. We narrow things down, coordinate the pieces and when it helps, create visuals like these so our client can actually see how the selections will come together.
Three tile selections, soon to be finished version - stay tuned!
A custom project should still feel fun and exciting even when you dont have the time or desire to make all the choices.

Work hard- play hard!
Life is about balance and your work should be rewarding - but also fun!
Decided to take on Wiarton Bluffs golf course with the team for some comraderie and team building. Our crew makes a lot of sacrifices by working long hours and not always being home so its important that we involve families in our play time. We got to bring some future CRC prospects on this trip and it did not disappoint!
From the easter egg hunt for golf balls, ditch jumping, fence climbing, hill rolling, snack sharing - and some golf- it was a perfect day!

⛳️ Great day on the course with the CRC crew at the Van Dolder's Home Team Golf Tournament!

A huge thank you to Van Dolder's for hosting another fantastic event. We always look forward to a day of golf, laughs, and friendly competition with our team and industry partners.

We finished the day at 7 under par, enjoyed some beautiful weather, and even managed to get our hands on a $10,000 cheque... unfortunately only long enough for the photo. 😂

Thanks again for a great day. Looking forward to next year already!

Another amazing transformation!

Okay, we’re getting better at these before & afters 😏
Before ➡️ After
Same shoreline, completely different feel.
From something simple to a space you actually want to sit down, relax, and stay awhile.
This is what we love bringing to life at Stokes Shores.
Hard to beat days like this on the water.

Starting the week with a few transformations…
Every one of these started with “can you make this better?”
The answer is always yes.
