It is the coming together of flowers, food and art, feeding both the body and the soul. We are at the Lion’s Head Farmers Market every Saturday from 9-12 (9-1 on long weekends). Look for us in the pavilion. This year we will have a DIY Flower Bar at Peninsula Pet alternating Thursday and Fridays and at The Art Shoppe at Miller Lake every second Sunday. Those will start later in June and we’ll post

days and hours. At the farm, we are open when we are available and the big open flag will be at the end of the drive.

We have been honoured to do flowers for a number of weddings over the past few weeks. Many of our wedding couples choose a mix of flowers arranged by us and specially put together diy buckets for them to do some of their own florals. We think Ashley did a great job on the table flowers and we’d like to thank Brynne Photo for showcasing our flowers so beautifully.

Diva Art (FarmHer Brenda with some additions from FarmHer Meg) is part of the BPSA annual Studio Tour this weekend and that means the flower barn doubles as an art studio and hosts Denise Callaghan as a guest artist. (It also means we got some cleaning done around and in the flower barn!). The Tour runs 10-4 on Saturday and Sunday. We’ll have our flower bouquets and arrangements available. And some goodies to keep you energized for more Tour stops. You can find us at 528 Forty Hills Rd - stop #12 on the tour. We’ll have the tour map posted and extra brochures available to help you navigate the 26 tour locations.

We will not be at the farmers market this week. Along with the flowers we’ll have here at the farm, we will have bouquets at The Art Shoppe on Main St Lion’s Head and sunflower bunches at Bains General Store on Hwy 6 in Ferndale. FarmHer Meg is stocking up the bouquets at Peacocks Foodland in Tobermory today.

Edit - we also have wrapped mason jar arrangements at Stokes Bay General Store

Let’s hope the stormy weather forecast changes for the weekend but we’ll be here and you can come inside to escape the rain if needed. Parking is available in parking spaces off the house driveway so bring an umbrella. The barn is wheelchair accessible and there is an accessible parking space at the end of the barn driveway in front of the barn. Please keep this spot free for those who need it.

Looking to purchase our flowers? Here’s where you can typically find them:
- Peacock’s Foodland in Tobermory - our usual delivery day is Thursday and we will top them up as we can if they start to run low.
- Bains General Store beside the Hungry Hiker in Ferndale - delivery is usually Friday for the weekend.
- The Art Shoppe on Main St in Lion’s Head - if we have abundance and it’s typically a Saturday or Sunday delivery.
- Lion’s Head Farmer’s Market at the beach on Saturday mornings from the May long weekend through to the Thanksgiving weekend. We do miss an occasional market but will always post if that is going to happen.
- Our farm stand at the end of the farm driveway - the stand is mid-painting and fixing so not currently operational but otherwise usually on Sundays and we’ll post if its open and have big yellow flags flying on the roadside.
- Direct from us at the farm - if we are home and you give us some warning we can usually accommodate a pick-up. Message us here or call us at 519-281-2888.

The farm itself is not open to the public. Really there isn’t much to see because if we are doing our job the vast majority of flowers are harvested just as they start to bloom and are put in our cooler so we can ensure you get the best vase life from them.
