Breathe Easy’s humble beginnings,
From a backyard shed and a K-car to where we are today. What a journey, and what a faithful God! 💚💛
When Sandi and I started Breathe Easy, we didn’t have much. We had a little shed at home, an old K-car, a dream, and a whole lot of determination. Our credit was so bad that when we bought our first truck, we paid a whopping 29% interest!
But we had a vision, and we weren’t giving up.
From that little shed, we moved into Sandi’s uncle’s shop for a year, then into our first standalone location on 14th Avenue and 36th Street, where we spent the next 10 years building something we could never have imagined.
In 2025, we took another big step and moved into two shops.
But looking back, the greatest thing we’ve built isn’t Breathe Easy. It’s our marriage, our faith, and the relationships we’ve made along the way.
Through the storms, the financial struggles, the disappointments, the losses, and the victories, Sandi and I have grown closer together as husband and wife.
There were seasons that tested us, moments that humbled us, and victories that reminded us just how faithful God has been. Through it all, our love for Jesus has only grown deeper.
We’ve learned that success isn’t measured by how many trucks you have on the road or how big your building is, but by who you become through the journey and how you treat people along the way. And we certainly didn’t get here alone.
Every technician, every office administrator, and every person who has ever been part of Breathe Easy, past and present, has played a role in our growth. Whether you spent a few months or many years with us, you helped write a chapter of our story, and we are genuinely thankful for you.
Our family, our customers, and this incredible Southern Alberta community have stood beside us, believed in us, and helped shape us into better people. We’ve been humbled to receive business awards and recognition over the years, but nothing compares to the privilege of serving the people who helped us get here. Sandi and I started this company because we wanted to make a living while making a positive difference in our community.
What we didn’t realize was how much God would use this journey, the people, the hardships, and the blessings to change our own hearts. Some of our greatest growth didn’t happen when business was booming. It happened in the storms, when all we had was each other and our faith in Jesus.
Today, we are more grateful, more united, and more determined than ever to use what God has entrusted to us to bless others.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has walked even a small part of this journey with us. Breathe Easy may have our name on the building, but this community and every person who has worked alongside us have their fingerprints all over it. And through every high and low, God’s faithfulness has been the foundation beneath it all.
