Norse Log Homes Ltd Custom log and timber home builder, building log packages world-wide. We can also do all the log work for post and beam homes.

We have been building quality log homes since 1984 all over the world (including Japan, Ireland, and the USA). All our homes are completely hand crafted using either West Coast Grown Douglas Fir or Western Red Cedar logs. We use logs with a mean diameter average of 12 inches (mid span) and a butt of 14-15 inches. We have a quality designer in the office who not only draws plans of any style, but he also works as one of our builders so he understands how things are built when he is drawing. I saw a humpback on my way to work today 😉 and a pretty cute seal. Did some island hopping to look at four log homes all built differently by four different builders. The last one being a Norse home refurbished in 2026 with Sashco Log Homes products. Energy seal chinking to come next! The ocean was beautiful today and nothing beats our beautiful British Columbia West Coast ❤️

A couple years ago this house was media blasted and prepped by a professional stain company but then they used an inferior stain, and worse, it was applied poorly. Less than two years later the stain failed. We just finished doing the best we could with the previous stain job already on the house to apply a new stain to keep it protected going forward. This is your reminder to please pick a good stain and make sure the professionals you’re hiring are doing a good job and following all the manufacturers directions.
