We just wrapped up a BC Hydro Rebate Program lighting upgrade in Surrey, swapping out old fixtures for high-efficiency LED kits across the warehouse, offices, hallways, and bathrooms. Over 100 new fixtures now light these spaces, with sensors added where they’ll help save even more energy. The result is a cleaner, more evenly lit work environment and lower electricity use.

Your bigger HVAC system needs this ⚡️

When you upgrade to a much larger HVAC system, the electrical setup around it may need some attention too.

On this home, the existing disconnect location would have been blocked by the new unit — making it difficult to safely access when needed.

So we relocated it and installed a weatherproof junction box, keeping everything accessible, safe and properly set up for the new equipment.

Small electrical details like this matter — especially when you’re making major upgrades to your home.

Faulty Breakers: Why They Overheat & Catch Fire

Some older breakers can fail to trip when overloaded. Instead of shutting the circuit off like they’re supposed to, they can remain energized and continue heating up — creating a potential fire hazard.

Not every FPE or Stab-Lok panel is about to cause a problem, but it’s something worth having professionally assessed.
