IT'S ALMOST TIME TO WINTERIZE YOUR HOSE BIB!

If water is left in the hose bib or pipes during the winter, it can freeze and cause the pipes to burst or expand. When the hose bib is turned on again, water can flow through any broken sections, which can flood your home.

Disconnect hoses: Remove hoses, splitters, and connectors from the hose bib at least two weeks before the temperature drops below 0°C.
-Drain hoses: Drain as much water as possible from the hoses.
-Turn off water supply: Locate the shut-off valve inside your house that connects to the hose bib and turn it off.
-Open hose bib: Go outside and open the hose bib to drain all remaining water.
-Cover hose bib: Install a hard faucet cover or insulated cover to protect the hose bib from freezing temperatures.
