Another Storied Driveway Gets a New Lease on Life! 🏡

Originally built in 1989, this Cloverdale driveway had already stood the test of time for more than 35 years. It likely had many more years left in it, but an underground water main rupture changed that.

After the utility repairs left a substantial trench through the driveway, we completed a temporary repair while the homeowners finished their interior renovations and installed a new roof.

This month, it was finally time for the full rebuild! We removed the existing driveway, entrance stairs and sidewalk, excavated the subgrade, installed and compacted fresh structural fill, built new curved forms, installed a trench drain and reinforcing rebar grid, and finished it all with a brand-new broom-finished concrete driveway.

Built to last for decades. 💪

This was also another project for returning customers, and while we always appreciate being invited back, we hope this is one project where they won't need us again for a very, very long time! 😉

🚧 More Than Just Metal Posts 🚧

Safety starts long before customers walk through the doors.

Moore & Sons is currently installing 150 safety bollards across 22 Dollarama locations throughout the Lower Mainland. While they may look simple, these bollards play an important role in protecting pedestrians, storefronts, and property from vehicle impacts.

This ongoing project requires precision, efficiency, and careful coordination to help keep businesses operating while delivering durable, long-lasting installations.

Whether it's commercial concrete, site preparation, or specialty installations, our team is committed to completing every project safely, professionally, and with the quality our clients expect.

Big milestone for the Moore & Sons team 👏

We’ve just completed a 40-foot-wide concrete base for a new water reservoir in Duncan, BC—our 60th industrial, commercial, or municipal reservoir base since 2016.

Projects like this play a critical role in supporting reliable water storage for the Cowichan Valley, helping ensure consistent supply, system resilience, and long-term community growth—especially during peak demand and dry seasons.

This was a highly technical build completed to strict engineered specifications:
• 2-foot-thick grade beam with 15M curved rebar
• 20m³ of 25 MPa concrete for the initial pour
• Protected overnight curing to maintain temperature
• 2-foot-thickened slab with extensive reinforcing steel
• Final pour of 60m³ of 30 MPa concrete

Another complex project delivered with precision—and made to look easy by our experienced crew.
