🦺 Making room for something bigger!

When Overlanders Manufacturing needed to replace an existing liquid nitrogen tank with a much larger one, the solution required more than simply pouring a bigger concrete pad.

Moore & Sons removed the existing foundation and surrounding asphalt, excavated 28 inches across a 25' × 28' area, and built a new 21' × 24' × 2'-deep reinforced concrete foundation.

The new slab included:
• Double rebar reinforcement with 25 mm and 20 mm rebar
• Geotechnical and structural inspections
• City of Abbotsford approval
• 40 m³ of 32 MPa concrete
• 12 six-inch steel bollards for added protection

From excavation and preparation to reinforcement, inspections and the final concrete pour, every step was important in creating a foundation capable of supporting the new, larger tank.

Another Storied Driveway Gets a New Lease on Life! 🏡

Originally built in 1989, this Cloverdale driveway had already stood the test of time for more than 35 years. It likely had many more years left in it, but an underground water main rupture changed that.

After the utility repairs left a substantial trench through the driveway, we completed a temporary repair while the homeowners finished their interior renovations and installed a new roof.

This month, it was finally time for the full rebuild! We removed the existing driveway, entrance stairs and sidewalk, excavated the subgrade, installed and compacted fresh structural fill, built new curved forms, installed a trench drain and reinforcing rebar grid, and finished it all with a brand-new broom-finished concrete driveway.

Built to last for decades. 💪

This was also another project for returning customers, and while we always appreciate being invited back, we hope this is one project where they won't need us again for a very, very long time! 😉

🚧 More Than Just Metal Posts 🚧

Moore & Sons is currently installing 150 safety bollards across 22 Dollarama locations throughout the Lower Mainland. While they may look simple, these bollards play an important role in protecting pedestrians, storefronts, and property from vehicle impacts.

This ongoing project requires precision, efficiency, and careful coordination to help keep businesses operating while delivering durable, long-lasting installations.
