Sewer backup solved in Abbotsford
Had a call today where a clogged sewer line was backing up into a house through the water heater drain pan. Our tech pulled the toilet and snaked the line to clear it. Ran a camera down after to check the pipe and found the culprit: a v**e had gotten flushed and lodged in there, with balled up toilet paper packed in behind it further down.
Cleared it all out and ran the camera through the rest of the line to make sure it was fully clear. Good reminder: toilets aren't for anything but toilet paper. Vapes, wipes, anything else can cause a backup like this.

Annual backflow testing in Surrey
Wrapped up annual backflow testing on a commercial building in Surrey this week. It's a requirement to have backflow devices tested annually to make sure they're still doing their job, keeping contaminated water from ever getting back into the clean supply.
Our tech went through each device, tested them one by one, and filed the results with the city. If a device fails, we can usually repair it on the spot and retest before moving on.

Garburator removal and repipe in Burnaby
Had a job in Burnaby where a garburator had failed and was leaking under the sink. Our tech removed it and repiped the 2 compartment sink so everything drains properly without it.
Bonus with the garburator gone: fewer clogs down the road since food scraps aren't going down that drain anymore.

Parkade leak traced to failed toilet seal in Richmond
Noticed a leak coming through the parkade ceiling in this Richmond apartment complex, with a noticeable blue stain giving it away. Our tech traced it up to the drain pipe pe*******on hole for a toilet in the unit above.
Turned out the wax seal on that toilet had failed, leaking water down through the pe*******on without the owner upstairs even knowing. The blue stain was from a cleaning tab in the toilet tank, which made the source easy to confirm once we found it.
Resealed the toilet and stopped the leak at the source.

A homeowner's perimeter storm drain in Maple Ridge had a buildup of dirt and debris causing drainage issues around the property. Our team used a drain camera to inspect the full line and pinpoint exactly where the blockage was.

From there, we ran a flex shaft (pipe descaler) through the line to clear out the buildup and restore proper flow. With heavy rain season around the corner, a clear storm drain means no water pooling around your foundation.
