Tee it Up March 9 at the Western Canadian Turf Conference
Do you work in the golf and turf management industry and hardly ever get to play golf? The Western Canadian Turfgrass Conference and Trade Show wants to remedy that siuation. With help from the Kwantlen University Turf Club, we're hosting the 'Tournament for Turf Research' at one of Vancouver Island's most spectacular and popular tracks, Olympic View Golf Course.
(Actuallly, KPU students get all the credit for organizing this event, along with the support of the Golf BC Group and superintendent, Brett Finlayson)
So why not tie in a spring educational and networking trip to Victoria with a round to get your season going? It's also a rare opportunity to see how they roll at a busy, year-round, high-end, super well-maintained, daily fee golf course.
Cost is $60 all-in which includes furthering the industry by supporting turfgrass research projects and:
• transport via coach from The Fairmont Empress Hotel and back
• golf
• golf cart
• lunch & beer at Olympic View (Can we say beer? If not, we meant 'beverage')
• golf & cart (sorry, said that already. Too many beverages...)
• free rentals and range balls (OMG, you don't have to haul your own clubs!)
Once registererd, everything will be taken care of and you won't have to think of anything else except maybe 'Where are my golf shoes?', 'Do I have any golf balls?' and 'Should I hit sand wedge, lob wedge, gap wedge or pitching wedge on the 16th?"
