More families are finding a new way to make home work for multiple generations. 🏡

With the cost of housing in Canada, aging in place and multigenerational homes are becoming an increasingly important option for families who want to stay close, support aging parents, and create more living space without leaving the property they already call home.

For this new project in Langley, Sayers Contracting is creating a 1,200 sq. ft. single-level suite addition, designed as an aging-in-place / multigenerational living space. The project also includes an approximately 870 sq. ft. attached shop, giving the homeowners even more usable space.

Sayers Contracting specializes in aging-in-place renovations, multigenerational home additions, secondary living spaces, and custom home renovations throughout Langley, Surrey, Abbotsford and the Fraser Valley.

Whether you’re planning space for your parents, preparing your home for the future, or creating a home where multiple generations can live comfortably together, we can help you plan and build it properly.

A project completed, a client ready to open, and a team proud of the result. 🙌

For the final chapter of the Flip City Gymnastics project in Pitt Meadows, we’re sharing something better than a project update, feedback directly from the client.

Throughout the build, the Flip City team made several changes and adjustments to the platform. Sayers Contracting adapted, put in the extra time, and kept the project moving so the facility could open on schedule and welcome the athletes back to classes.

As Alana, Technical Director at Flip City Gymnastics, shared, the overall experience working with Sayers Contracting was “absolutely fantastic,” and she would recommend the team for future projects.

For us, that’s what a successful project looks like: quality construction, flexibility when plans change, clear communication, and delivering when it matters most.

Thank you to the entire Flip City team for trusting Sayers Contracting with your new facility.

Project complete at Flip City Gymnastics in Pitt Meadows! 🎉

After weeks of planning, coordination, and construction, this 5,500 sq. ft. commercial tenant improvement is officially finished and Flip City is ready to open its doors. All permits and occupancy requirements are approved, and the project was delivered on the completion date Sayers Contracting committed to from the start.

From building the raised platform to creating two foam pits and a dedicated airbag area, the entire project came together in about four weeks from building permit to completion.

This is a milestone worth celebrating, but it also shows what Sayers Contracting is all about: clarity, certainty, a fixed price, and a schedule clients can count on whether it’s commercial construction, a home renovation, or a custom home.

Congratulations to the entire Flip City team. We’re proud to have been part of bringing this new space to life! 🙌

The details you plan before construction are often the ones that matter most later.

At the Flip City Gymnastics project in Pitt Meadows, we carefully planned the platform height around the finished trampoline installation. Once the trampolines are in place, they’ll sit flush with the platform, creating a smooth, level surface and helping reduce tripping hazards for the athletes.

That same attention to detail is part of how Sayers Contracting approaches every project — whether it’s commercial construction, a home renovation, or a custom home.

The Flip City Gymnastics project in Pitt Meadows is getting close to the finish line.

The main platform structure is now complete, with only a few final details and equipment-related adjustments left to finish. The new foam pit areas and trampoline runway are now clearly taking shape, creating a safer and more functional training environment for the athletes.

At Sayers Contracting, we manage projects from planning through final construction, keeping the work organized and adapting as the project evolves.

What sets Sayers Contracting apart is the attention to details that homeowners and clients may never even see.

At our Flip City project in Pitt Meadows, we added extra bracing to the exterior walls to give the structure more strength and rigidity for the amount of movement and foot traffic this platform will handle. It wasn’t just about following the basic plan, it was about thinking ahead and building it properly for how the space will actually be used.

That same mindset goes into every home renovation, custom home, and commercial construction project we take on.

Plans can change during construction, and the right process makes all the difference.

At our Flip City project, the client requested a three-inch increase to the wall height after framing was already complete. We coordinated with the architect and engineer, documented the change through a formal change order, received written approval, and completed the adjustment with minimal impact on the schedule.

This same organized approach applies to commercial projects, home renovations, and custom homes. At Sayers Contracting, we help clients adapt their plans while keeping the scope, budget, and construction process clear.

The Flip City Gymnastics project in Pitt Meadows is moving forward.

Since our last update, the platform walls have been fully framed, and the team is now installing the shear wall plywood in preparation for joisting next week. Step by step, this 5,500 sq. ft. raised platform is taking shape and getting closer to becoming a safe training space for the gymnasts.

Sayers Contracting provides commercial construction, framing, renovations, and custom building services throughout Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, Langley, Surrey, Abbotsford, and the Fraser Valley.
