Hi 👋 I’m Matt. I recently made a big change in my life. After spending the last seven years as a teacher, I decided to do a career change and start my own business. Why? Ultimately, I wanted to take back control of my life. As a single parent, I wanted the freedom and flexibility to be present in my son’s life. I also wanted to grow something that I could one day potentially hand off to him.

I think the biggest affirmation I had was when I told him I was starting my own business, he asked, “Does that mean you’re gonna be the boss?”

“Yes,” I said.

He looked down at his iPad and smiled. “I like that,” he said. He was proud of me. And I felt pretty proud of me too.

Taking risks, making leaps of faith, these are not easy things to do. But nothing ventured…

So a new business. A new adventure. Change is good. Life is good.

Hello!

I thought I would take this time to introduce myself!

I have been painting around the Lower Mainland since I was 18. During that time, I spent thousands of hours working and learning the business and art of painting.

In addition to my painting experience, I attended Concordia University in Montreal and Simon Fraser University, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in History and Education, respectively. After working as a teacher for 7 years, I decided it was time to forge my own path and start Presto Painting with the vision of providing quality work, exceptional service at an affordable price.
