Landscape commercial and residential areas:
Spread topsoil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs and trees and perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape and related structures.
Weekly landscape maintenance on contract sites:
Cut grass, rake, aerate, dethatch, fertilize and water lawns, w**d gardens, prune shrubs and trees and perform other maintenance duties as directed by supervisor.
Operate and maintain power mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, snowblowers and other landscape maintenance equipment.
Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments.
Must have own transportation to get to employers site (closest bus stop is 15 min walk).
Salary based on experience ($14.60 - $25/hr).
Must have steel-toed boots and work gloves.
Work in all weather types.
40 hrs/wk.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
Experience on commercial ride on mowers, hand mowers, w**ders, trimmers, blowers, pruners, tampers, mini excavators, etc. an asset.
Must be physically fit, able to lift 50 - 100 lbs and enjoy working outdoors.
Experienced Landscaper with Allen Block and paver experience also required.
Experience driving with a trailer (able to back-up) also an asset.
Must speak English.
