๐ชต THE DETAILS MATTER โ SPOT PRIMING BARE WOOD
A quality exterior paint job starts long before the first topcoat goes on.
After sanding and scraping away old, peeling paint, weโre often left with areas of exposed, bare wood. Before moving on to the finish coats, we apply a coat of primer to those areas through a process called spot priming.
Why is this important? Primer helps seal and protect the exposed wood, creating a properly prepared surface for the paint to adhere to. This is especially important here on the West Coast, where our homes are exposed to plenty of moisture, rain, and changing weather conditions. ๐ง๏ธ
Once the primer has been applied and is ready, we move forward with two coats of quality exterior paint to provide a durable, beautiful finish.
At Cascade Painting, we believe the quality of the final result is directly connected to the quality of the preparation. We take the time to do the job properly, pay attention to the details, and use the right products and techniques to help every project stand up to the demands of our Greater Victoria climate.
Proper preparation. Quality materials. A finish built to last.
