The Beat the Frost Sale is one for one more day!
Sunday Sept 13th from 10am to 5pm!

Over 1000 lbs of veggies picked yesterday mostly due to the humongous tomatoes!
One was over 3lbs!!!!

But don't worry, there are still lots of veggies to pick!!!!

It is sadly that time of year. Time to harvest before Jack Frost takes his share.
Saturday Sept 12th and Sunday Sept 13th
10am to 5pm both days

As always a donation of $15 to the Food Bank gets you a bag to fill and whatever you can stuff into the bag is only $0.50 a pound*.

Buy one or buy 4!

*Garlic and Honey and fresh farm eggs are not part of the sale. Regular prices are charged for these items.

We will also be taking donations for the food bank. Remember that they also can use personal grooming items such as toothpaste or deodorant or soap.

The tomatoes have started to ripen! There is color in both the hoophouse and the field. Beefsteak, Roma, cherries and heirloom.

Ritz would like to thank all the wonderful volunteers. We absolutely could not do Open Farm Days without you!!!!
Ritz is finally back to full energy and ready to race your cars again!

We also would like to thank everyone that made the drive and visited us during Open Farm Days.
Again, we would not exist without customers such as you!!!!

We were overjoyed by the number if people that came by.

We are already planning for next year

We are participating in Open Farm Day again this year! Both days, Saturday and Sunday.
Along with our usual vegetable picking we will also have the hotdogs and pop $5 special with proceeds to the local food bank.
And you can plant a DRAGON EGG! Or dragon tongue bean as it is also known

We will be open
Saturday Aug 1 - 10 am to 6pm
Sunday Aug 2 - 10am to 5pm

We will have limited amounts of:
Summer Savory, radish, hakurei turnip, basil, celery, parsley, baby carrots, spring onion, cucumbers patty pan squash, zucchini (green and yellow), dema squash, bell peppers, Jalapeños, Chili's, sugar Snap Peas, shelling peas, beet greens, small leeks, Superschmelz Kohlrabi.

I will dig some baby Potatoes tomorrow evening if it is dry enough to dig and post if they are ready.

Please bring your mosquito repellent of choice. We will have some available and a spray station set up for everyone to use.

And as a friendly reminder, entry into and driving through Elk Island Park is free right now but it has been closed due to the storms. Please double check before the drive only to find out it is closed.

We will also have pop, water and some sweet cold treats available for purchase.

All of the animals are safe and sound. The house is dry and intact. And the power is back on.

The garden is soaked. Very soft and all of the wood chips are now gone. Some of the raised bunds are partially washed away. Overall squishy but still there.
