We could use you!

The Demonstration Garden is getting closer and closer to becoming the jewel of Lake Country — but there are still a few important pieces to put in place.

We're looking for landscapers, tradespeople, gardeners and community members who might be willing to donate some time, tools or expertise to help with the final stages of construction and planting.

We're looking for help with things like:

Edging pathways

Planting trees

Installing surface drip irrigation

More planting and garden bed prep

Installing paver stones

Other skilled jobs that help put the finishing touches on the garden

This is an opportunity to do more than lend a hand for a day. You can help create a place that will be enjoyed, explored and learned from by generations of Lake Country residents.

Think of it as your chance to leave a little bit of yourself — and your expertise — in the landscape.

If you have a skill, tool, crew or simply some time you'd like to contribute, we'd love to hear from you. And please share this with anyone else who you think might love to be part of this meaningful project. Reach out to us by replying to this email or forwarding it to someone you think can help!

Let's build something lasting together.

A true landscaping legend has joined the Demonstration Garden team.
We are incredibly honoured to welcome Ken Salvail, the Grower Coach, to the project as we begin bringing the Lake Country Garden Club Demonstration Garden to life.
Ken is lending his expertise in landscape construction and project coordination to ensure the garden is built with the quality and care needed to stand the test of time and meet the expectations of the District of Lake Country.
From pathways and irrigation to hardscape elements and overall site development, his industry knowledge will help guide this project from dream to reality — and we couldn’t be more grateful to have his insights at the table.
It takes a community to grow something meaningful, and having respected professionals like Ken involved gives us even more confidence in what this garden can become for Lake Country.
