This bedroom addition is officially finished for a wonderful family who needed some extra space. It was a pleasure bringing their vision to life.

The foreman stopped by today to see what was taking so long on the shake install. 🐶

After a full QA inspection (and plenty of supervision), she gave the crew the go-ahead to keep working. Quality comes first at Ascend Construction—even if it means answering to the toughest boss on site.

We recently completed an insulated roof structure over a shipping container that’s now serving as secure farm storage and a home gym. Designed to protect against the elements while adding year-round functionality, this project is another example of building practical solutions that stand the test of time.

A little repair work and some finishing touches can go a long way. We refreshed this patio with structural repairs and new cedar railings with black aluminum pickets, giving the space a clean, updated look while preserving the existing deck.

We replaced an aging concrete patio with a durable, low-maintenance composite deck, creating a more inviting outdoor space built to last.

What a great day at the North Oyster École Elementary Family Fun Fair!

Ascend Construction was proud to sponsor the bounce house and be part of such a fun community event. Seeing so many kids laughing, playing, and burning off energy made it well worth it.

A big thank you to all the organizers, volunteers, teachers, and families who helped make the day a success. Events like these remind us how lucky we are to live and work in such an amazing community.

We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute and look forward to supporting more local events in the future.

Another step forward on this bedroom addition project.

Today we got the footings excavated, formed, and ready to go. It might not be the most glamorous part of the build, but a solid foundation is what every great project starts with.

Looking forward to seeing this addition take shape and giving our clients the extra space they need. One step at a time, built right from the ground up.

Wrapped up the week the right way—installing tongue and groove on the interior of this small off-grid cabin.

Projects like this remind us that it’s not always about size. Small cabins can have just as much craftsmanship, attention to detail, and charm as any large home.

A great way to finish the week. Time to clean up the tools and enjoy the weekend.

A little change of scenery for this one.

We headed out to Ucluelet to build a small yellow cedar deck for a great family looking to make the most of their outdoor space. Simple, clean, and built to handle the west coast weather.

There’s something special about out-of-town projects — good people, ocean air, and getting to build in places most only visit for weekends.

Appreciative of the trust and excited to see this family enjoy it for years to come.

Wrapped this one up and it’s a beauty.

Full framing and siding package dialed in, and we got to work with some slick new materials on this build. Finished it off with 24-gauge aluminum soffit—clean, sharp lines that’ll hold up for years—and 12” wood-finish LP plank that brings the warmth without the maintenance headaches.

Always a good day when everything comes together like this. Solid structure, tight details, and a finish that speaks for itself.
