Maple stair parts with round black metal spindles. In this case, the packaging was left on the spindles to protect them during the staining/finishing process and can be easily removed afterwards.

This was in a beautiful custom home built by Wilco Construction Ltd. on Salt Spring Island and featured in Boulevard Magazine!
