On this job we added a layer of sonopan (soundproofing) and a layer of Type X 5/8” drywall with finish tape to make this exterior wall sound proof! It’s important when doing sound proofing you have the drywall joints not land on the joints of sound proofing for added sound proofing!

Load bearing wall removal with temporary supports in place before removal. Meyer Reno’s has the expertise to safely remove load bearing walls and install beams. Improperly installed supports can lead to structural collapse, so hire the right team. We created a more spacious basement by removing this wall and eliminating doorways for a seamless walk.
