Sometimes, a single flyer can lead to something much greater than a project.
When Dwayne and Wendy reached out to me about helping transform their front yard, I expected to build a 6x6 timber retaining wall, create a new flower bed and refresh the landscaping in the front yard. What I didn’t expect was to meet two genuinely incredible people.
From day one, Dwayne and Wendy welcomed me with kindness, respect, and hospitality. They didn’t just hire a contractor—they gave a stranger an opportunity. Throughout the project, they worked alongside me, shared their ideas, contributed their hard work, and helped bring the vision to life.
What stood out most wasn’t the retaining wall or the landscaping. It was their character.
Dwayne and Wendy are the kind of people who naturally encourage others to move forward. Their positive energy is contagious. They understand the value of hard work, gratitude, and supporting those around them. They know how to push people in the right direction while making them feel appreciated along the way.
Projects come and go, but meeting good people leaves a lasting impression. This project was a success not only because of the final result, but because it reminded me that there are still people out there who lead with kindness, generosity, and integrity.
